Pramod Mahajan - R.I.P.

Pramod Mahajan

Pramod Mahajan, the General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, breathed his last 12 days after he was shot and critically wounded by his own brother apparently in a frame of mind that provided to him a perverse justification for that action.

In the death of Pramod Mahajan, his party has lost an accomplished and savvy politician, an able organiser and a strategist who was all set to achieve greater heights.

Having sophistication and style and a great gift for expressing himself with clarity, he seemed to be ideally suited to be a leader in the future. Setting aside considerations of political party affiliations, India of the 21st Century needs more politicians like him with a forward looking approach, dynamism and above all a strong determination to make things happen. In this sense, it is as well a great loss for the country.

May his soul rest in Peace.

He had a knack of persuading even those politically opposed to his party.
